Hello everyone! Today I'm going to share some photographs that I took on my way to Ipoh. There were many mountains on the way. This is a part of the PLUS Highway of Malaysia and it is well-known for is beautiful mountains on this region.
Every time I'm on the road to Sitiawan, Lumut, or Penang where we have to go through the same region, I get to enjoy the view of big, beautiful mountains. There are many magnificent looking mountain terrains along the way and they keep getting bigger as we go further.
I think it rained in this region earlier. That's why they seemed foggy. It didn't seem like haze because it seemed mostly on top of the mountains looking all white and foggy.
Here's another angle of the beautiful mountains. I'm glad to have enjoyed the scenery because the haze became thick the next day, which is today. They seemed so ashy today afternoon unlike yesterday where they were visible like in these pictures.
This is when we were approaching the rest area of Gua Tempurung. The name is taken after a famous limestone cave nearby that's shaped like a coconut shell. The Malay word for it is 'tempurung' from which the name of the cave is derived from. We can go to the rest area to freshen up, get a snack or just take a break.
Here are more of the lush green mountains. You can see their layered appearance where the furthest mountains appear the lightest.
These are some limestone karst caves and some of them are made into tourist spots. Some are also special and considered divine as they are made into temples. I did visit one of them on this trip and will share the photographs someday.
