Hello everyone! I'm on my way to Ipoh and I thought I would share some pictures I took during the journey. Well half journey actually as I'm only including some photos from my place which is Kuala Lumpur while I'm travelling to Bidor as I'm still on the way to the final destination when I'm typing this.
This is how it looked when I looked out from my place. Can you spot the twin towers of Malaysia? They are usually visible during a regular day but now we can barely see them due to the current haze situation. I can't even see the sunrise well unlike before.
It was past 8.00 am and usually it looks bright and sunny. But now it looks very cloudy and foggy. I think it is a mix of the morning fog and the haze.
At this hour, the sun is usually very bright. I have taken plenty of photographs before during road trips and even posted them on Hive to share the beauty of the vibrant blue sky and the peaking sun. Today it's just a muted little white sphere with cloudy skies. Usually I complain how heaty the early morning sky is but today I missed it. A foggy sky makes my mood feel down. I like it to be blue and sunny.
I think these are the morning fog. But I did see some smoke floating around in the second picture. I think a video might have captured it better. I really don't know if it's a good smoke which is morning fog or if it's due to the haze. I might have known if I had the windows down but I didn't want any smokey smell entering the car. It has entered my room back at home a few times and it smelled like something was burning nearby. It comes in waves every now and then.
This was when we were approaching Bidor. It was better there with little haze. Can you see the foggy clouds? I think that's really cool. It could mean that there is less haze as Perak is higher up on the north region of Peninsula Malaysia.
I hope the haze situation eases in time. This has been the longest duration I know as haze happens every year but usually it subsides faster. Thank you for dropping by and I hope you have a great day.
