Another great subject for the @Qurator photo quest: FOG
Although I'm not a morning person, I do like the scenes that can appear on an early morning when it's foggy. On my cycling route to work the cycling path I take passes through some meadows. In between the meadows are some ditches. On cold mornings the moist in the air can create a blanket of fog over the meadows.
A while ago, when I was cycling to work it almost seemed like the power pylons were hovering above the ground.
I really liked the cold, blueish tint of the sky which in the back was slowly coloring orange by the sunset. It resulted in a bit of a mystical atmosphere.
This is my photo for the Qurator Photo Quest
The next photo was taken during a cold and misty winter morning. The mist was above the trees around the lake. I really liked the reflection of the tree in the water. Although there wasn't a lot of color, I did turn this one into black and white.
You might recognize the following shot because it is my profile picture. I really like this shot because of the emptiness and the fact that the fog resulted in the disappearance of the horizon.
Here is another early morning shot I took while commuting. The warmth of the rising sun created a layer of for over the meadows where a heron and a duck were sitting alongside the ditch.
I don't know if this one qualifies as fog or these are 'regular' clouds. Anyways, it was a great view I had during a skiing trip in Austria. In the valley it was dark and cloudy, but when we went with the gondola we came above the layer of fog, which almost looked like snow.
I hope you liked my photographs. Feel free to leave a comment below.
