Graffiti Lettering Contest

@trippymane ran another Graffiti Lettering Contest , which I couldn't miss and had to take part in, even if it meant carrying my markers around with me. I really enjoy the creative process, and the fact that it feels so great to have done something. Especially when it's a lot of fun. Painting is something that encompasses me with a feeling of joy.

"EYE" for the 14^th Graffiti Lettering Challenge seemed kinda metaphoric to me when coming up with ideas.

What came to mind immediately was. "I'm eyeing you", "I got my eye on you", "Surveillance", "Big Brother's watching you" and feudalism, ID2020, the WEF, the iso 20022 message standard, intraledger protocol etc.

My Entry

I thought of a pig. A cop. Not because the pig as an animal is dirty, but because I wanted to add something morbid, since we are so desensitised buying pig corpses in grocery stores. Like on cigarette packets, we don't have images of dead, bleeding animals printed on meat product packaging.

Nevertheless, these victims are being portrayed in various disdainful ways to indoctrinate us to oversee their suffering.

It's none of your business! That's my motto.

Conclusions

There are a lot of thoughts that go through my head when I think about surveillance. Specially the fact that if I were to sell a painting on a canvas for a couple of thousand dollars and receive cash for it. If I put it on my bank, I have to file taxes and pay my government a certain amount of it. If I keep the cash and stack it away, they'd never know, but I would cheat and betray my government and could be prosecuted for tax fraud. It gets specially weird when you live in a country where there is too much supply and too less demand and construction companies have government contracts to do annual construction that's beyond any legitimisation. Government spending to outwardly horse around economic activity, progress and infrastructural improvement. When in fact, if that tax payer money isn't spent, they'd have a herd of unemployed construction workers standing in line to receive unemployment benefits instead. Apart from such irrationality when it comes to the inefficiency of governmental fiscal policies, I find the control and surveillance imposed on individuals a violation of privacy and liberty. A conceit for a free market, tx fees for a treasury and a DAO that decides what and how things can be done more efficiently would be a healthy refinement.
