Today’s walk took me somewhere I didn’t expect to love this much.
Magicland Amusement Park, Abuja.
I just went to clear my head. No plan, no big expectations.
But from the moment we drove in, I knew this Wednesday was different. i was already feeling the day.
The first thing that hit me was the green.
Green grass everywhere. Neatly trimmed. The road was smooth and quiet.
And then that mountain... it just sat there behind everything like it was guarding the place.
Blue sky, white clouds, and the wind felt different. Lighter.
Driving in felt like leaving Abuja stress behind.
Guys. A CASTLE.
Right here in Abuja 😂
Towers, blue gates, colorful walls. I actually stopped the car to take it in.
The "MAGICLAND AMUSEMENT PARK" sign was colorful and bold against the mountain background. It looked unreal.
Like "is this really Nigeria?"
The entrance had those colorful geometric walls and little guard houses. Everything looked clean and bright.
I walked around with my camera out the whole time. Every turn was a new photo.
The castle gate, the open fields, the trees, the sky.
I got on rides and it was a wonderful experience can't wait have this day againn.
Sometimes we even don't remember that beauty is very close to us and we should explore it.
We think we have to travel far to see "pretty places."
But Magicland reminded me that Abuja has soft, beautiful corners too.
Walking there made me slow down. Notice the grass. Notice the clouds. Notice that I was smiling.
That’s the kind of Wednesday walk I want more of.
