Today's prompt: lentil soup
Day 67: The day was very strange. It really felt like we were suddenly back down south where it's summer: we can see where the ice ridge begins a few hundred feet away, but here it's strangely warm, to the point where some of the ground itself is soggy and muddy. There is even some vegetation that looks like it has been boiled into some bizarre lentil soup. No, we didn't eat it.
Day 68: We ventured another couple miles inward, taking our time to take samples of the ground along the way, just because it's so.. strange. But the most exciting part is that we came across the impact site! It looks like a meteor, or a meteorite, or a comet, or whatever they're called, crash landed. It's a big crater! That explains the boom we heard a few days ago. We searched for the meteor but couldn't find anything like it. We're setting up camp in the middle of the crater. Now this is cool! But it would be nice to be able to have a shower. I think I'm beginning to stink, and this is in no way letting me be sly with Lisa.
