A Poem About a Plumber - By @WrongJohn

"I'm here to fix your leaky pipes"
The man in blue declared
"You are?" I asked, with bleary eyes
(as if I really cared)

If truth be told, I didn't know
Our pipes had even burst!
Reluctantly, I let him in
And silently, I cursed.

This must have been my wife, I thought.
Had she blocked the sink again?
"HONEYYY!" I shouted up the stairs
"Did you make more indoor rain?"

She didn't hear. So I went up.
I woke her with a poke.
"The plumber's here!" I whispered.
Said my wife: "Is this a joke?"

"Well no" I answered, cautiously
I didn't want a fight...
"He's really here. I let him in.
Did the sink get blocked last night?"

"I never called a plumber" said my wife.
I ran downstairs...
But the man in blue was nowhere.
And neither were the chairs!
