The Force, A Force of Freedom
Why had this project truly snagged my attention? What was it that hitched to my thoughts. I believe I have found that reason.
This network, the scalable decentralized entity that this is creating, is nothing less than absolute information freedom. No holds bar. A system, where none can know the user, the hosts, the clients, all is based in anonymity. I admit, I hadn’t wrapped my head around that until the last few days.
This token represents a censor-free area to access information. Where the world has seen this violated, many times over. There are recent events, including the shutdown of Telegram in China. The world has always faced this censoring of information, ideas, thoughts, throughout history people have fought this. We live in a world of unimaginable informational pools. Great swaths of ether devoted to the transference of ideas, outlets of emotion, pictures of despair, kindled hope.
The question that plagues my mind. It wracks in there, pounds on the doors; is this absolute freedom within the maturity of humanity to maintain? Can, as a people, it be used without the nefarious gaining more of a foothold? More leverage to do what they will…anyway. Who benefits most from this environment?
Of course, this is only one side of the puzzle. A singular piece that barely begins to describe the usage, value, and impact of this blockchain. How would the denizens of China benefit from this protocol? How would each of us? What could these ramifications bring? A system free of censoring? There are things…that should be thwarted. Destruction of life, trafficking of people, these are true and tangible threats.
But should we allow fear to rule our decisions? Should these disgraceful representations of human life be allowed to halt the freedom of the world’s data? Mostly, who could, and should decide these things? It is possible that this could employ easier methods to track these things, somehow. It would be there, for all to see.
We are at the precipice of much change. The Force Network is singling itself out to be a cornerstone for this. At the core, this is a project around a censor-free world. Can the increasingly sensitive community handle this?
