🥇 High Society and Free Cable Car Lifts for Pooches at Gstaad, Switzerland by ellenripley@ellenripley

Continuing our motorhome adventures, on the way into Gstaad, we passed through the neighbouring village of Saanen. Looking across the valley, you can see the spire of St. Mauritius Church.

Gstaad is best known as a Swiss resort where the rich and famous head to ski. While it caters to high budgets, visiting for a day gives you a clear sense of what the town and surrounding area looks like on foot.

🥉 Urlaub Schweiz/Koriska 2026 #4: 5 Tage Wandern in der Wildnis by achimmertens@achimmertens

After breakfast at the hotel, we set off – through a beautiful landscape, uphill all day. It was very strenuous: 716 meters of elevation gain and only a few meters downhill. We had planned five and a half hours of pure walking time, but including all the breaks we took more than eight hours.
