馃 Tashkent Park. Ashgabat. Dead. Hot. and weird. by grindle@grindle

Officially opened in October 2022 Tashkent Park is a leisure park in Ashgabat, it was created to celebrate the friendship between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Ashgabat and Tashkent are twinned cities, you know, the craic, I bet your home town is twinned with several other towns across the globe, affording your local politicians to make exchange visits at your expense, the tax payers expense. Living off the fat of the land like pigs with their snouts in the trough. All politicians are corrupt. Not just those from former Soviet Republics.

馃 Transf膬g膬r膬葯an and B芒lea Lake | Let's travel together #368 by gabrielatravels@gabrielatravels

Now, if you ask me, many years have passed since then, and I think a lot of things have changed and that we can name many more roads that are a lot better than Transf膬g膬r膬葯an.

It might sound funny coming from someone who was born in Romania and should be proud of having this famous road that people can drive on just a couple of months yearly, but the truth is that things are getting out of control, and I observe a lot of bad behaviour that shouldn't be seen while on the way to this road and B芒lea Lake.

馃 A walk through the impossible shapes of the Sagrada Familia - Barcelona / Un paseo por las formas imposibles de La Sagrada Familia - Barcelona by sofathana@sofathana

The Basilica of the Sagrada Familia is the work of the famous architect Antoni Gaud铆, and its construction began in March 1882. In other words, work has been underway for 144 years because, as I mentioned at the start, it remains unfinished. As I approached this immense structure, I was deeply impressed by its intricate details and, above all, by its shapes, which seem impossible to build, almost unreal.
