🥇 Hiking trip to Sinanitsa peak by vesytz@vesytz

A few days ago I did a very nice hiking trip in Pirin Mountain. Our ultimate goal was to climb the peak of Sinanitsa at 2516m. Our starting point was the Vihren hut, to which we traveled by car almost all day and arrived at night. The hut was very cozy, clean and had a restaurant with great cuisine.

🥉 2hr out 2 hr back, nearly but no cigar. Ashgabat. Turkmenistan by grindle@grindle

Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, dubbed the "city of the dead"; this being due to its very surreal, eerily quiet atmosphere, despite it being filled with over the top opulent and grand white marble buildings. A government mandate enforces white buildings and white cars, which must be frequently washed.
