@portugalcoin Once inside, the African savanna area did not disappoint. Huge boulders and a dry looking baobab tree set the scene, and it did not take long before we spotted our first elephants moving calmly between the rocks.

@dtamI covered about 7 miles on foot today, but I felt like I was able to see a lot of what the town and its surroundings had to offer. In the afternoon I led a kayak under the bridge into a series of saltwater lagoons called the Ankau Saltchucks. People were lined up on the bridge, fishing for salmon, as we paddled under. We rode the incoming tide in, all the way to the lake in the back. We could hear the crashing waves of the ocean through the narrow strip of forest at the end of the saltchucks. Two trumpeter swans flew off in the back lagoon. We spent some time exploring the shoreline, in case a bear came out, but eventually had to make our turn and ride the changing currents out, before the back bays lost all their water and went dry. It would have been a long walk back if we had to drag the kayaks.

@riyatAnd finally, I arrived at the main point, which is the recreational area located in front of a large swamp, or more commonly known as Paya Kareung. In this place, we can find so many huts neatly lined up along the edge of the swamp, facing towards the swamp, so we can sit and relax while enjoying the incredibly beautiful natural scenery. From several pictures that I have shared, we can already conclude that this place is very peaceful and incredibly quiet, with a cool atmosphere combined with the refreshing breeze that continuously blows against our bodies.
