Hello, my dear friends. On this wonderful evening, I am happy to connect with you all once again. I would like to share a brief story about my recent trip to a place known as the "City of a Thousand Hills"鈥攖he town of Takengon. This town is home to a vast lake called Lake Laut Tawar, which is actually larger than the town of Takengon itself.
I took this trip a few weeks ago with a friend, and it was an incredibly exciting journey. I was treated to such beautiful scenery, and there were many things along the way that caught my eye. I brought along my simple mobile phone camera to capture some images and preserve the moments鈥攆rom the interesting structures built along the roadside to the stunning landscapes, including mountains, valleys, and forests that I encountered throughout the journey.
Those moments are still saved on my phone, as I like to look back and reminisce about them from time to time. In the footage, you can see structures built along the roadside鈥攃oncrete retaining walls designed to hold back the earth and keep the path clear鈥攁s well as a deep valley tucked away in the middle of the forest, which I also managed to capture. Throughout the journey, I could truly feel the vast, fresh air; the road wound through the mountains, shaded by the surrounding trees. I took several more videos and photos during that same trip.
During my journey, I encountered and crossed several rivers with remarkably clear water, where other visitors were also spending time. I passed the first river, knowing that an even more beautiful one lay ahead鈥攁 spot with such fresh, pristine water that it was perfect for washing up. Shortly after, I reached the second river. My companions and I headed down to the water鈥檚 edge to take a brief rest and breathe in the fresh, crisp air. The water felt incredibly cool and clean; it looked so pure that it seemed safe enough to drink. The riverbank was lined with countless stones, and the surrounding area was filled with large, towering trees. The scene was so captivating that I felt compelled to capture a few photographs鈥攔ight there in the heart of the river, nestled within a lush, thriving forest beneath the canopy of those grand trees.
At that location, my friends and I relaxed for a while and decided to take some photos together鈥攁 way to preserve memories for when we eventually left. The spot, known as the "Kulus Mini River," featured rocks where we sat and chatted before continuing our journey toward a remote village. Before heading off, I stood in the middle of the river, wearing sunglasses, and we took several pictures to capture the moment. The air there was incredibly fresh, and I felt completely at ease being there with my friends. While they sat on the rocks, I stood in the middle of the stream and asked them to take some photos of me posing鈥攁 perfect way to commemorate our time there and create a lasting story to look back on once we had moved on.
