Hello everyone! This is and I'll present today's edition of Travel Digest. In our featured posts, we have a spit in Klaipeda, Lithuania, the city of La Rochelle, France, and a zoo in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Enjoy and keep on pinning your travel posts to the map!
The Curonian Spit stretches from Russia in the south to Klaipėda, Lithuania in the North a distance of 60 miles, at its narrowest it is only 1,300ft at its broadest 2.5 miles. A single road runs its length.
Created as a National Park in 1991, to protect the unique ecosystems of the Curonian Spit and Lagoon. It has Since 2000 been on UNESCO's World Heritage List
Apparently there are four villages and two old cemetery sites that are hidden under the sand.

La Rochelle was only intended as a short stopover since we wanted to spend more time in Spain. Nevertheless, it was wonderful to finally be by the sea and enjoy a beer by the water. During a walk through the city, we once again collected plenty of great impressions.

During this holiday season, my boss invited all of her grandchildren for a family trip to Yogyakarta. Not only I was tasked to arrange the trip but also to make sure that two of her grandchildren and her elderly mother arrived safely in Yogyakarta. It wasn't an easy task because I had to act firm but also ensuring they all had a good experience.
Once we got off the train station, we directly went to check-in to the hotel. Since, it's a very laid back trip, the group rested until the next morning when we had to travel at Gembira Loka Zoo. I had to make sure everyone has the proper ticket and made sure that they are not running around too far from the group.
