I continue here showing our tour that began in a relaxed way, through the calm streets of the historic center of Vila Real. As is customary in small towns, the sound of bells began to resonate in the air, something that in itself creates a special atmosphere. We decided to follow the sound and that's how, without any great plans, we ended up discovering the Cathedral Church of São Domingos.
The Mota Castle, located in the Vallisoletan city of Medina del Campo, is one of the largest castles in Castile with the peculiarity of being built of brick despite its age dating back to the thirteenth century with different remodelling throughout the Middle Ages, including the reign of the Catholic kings.
I'll never get tired of saying that this trip has been decades in the making. Now that I've finally visited the very place that haunted my imagination since I first learned about the allure of the province, I'll also never get tired of sharing everything about the trip. So, be prepared for all the posts about Batanes until all my photos and videos are exhausted.
