I don't know if this happens to only me. I just sit down and a word comes into my head. I word that I don't know the meaning. I sat this morning and 'valentino' popped up in my head. See me running to my dictionary. I searched the word and am like " really? That's it?"
Valentino, maybe I've heard it from somewhere but I really can't tell. The dictionary defined it as 'a ladies man' or 'a man whose chief interest is seducing, especially woman'. I get why the dictionary added "especially women", some men seduce men too shrugs.
I never really knew that there was an official name for a ladie's man. The term I knew was "playboy". Play boy is supposed to be a brand name, but in where I come from, it's also a name for a Valentino.
I guess I've come across some Valentinos. They are really talented no doubt. The way they go about their whole 'toasting' process. Gosh! My terms ehnn. First playboy now toasting, lol.
Another funny fact is that the etymology of the word was an actor "Rudolph Valentino" who was nicknamed "The Latin lover". I don't know what brought about that nickname but it's definitely a hilarious one. Rudolph Valentino was an Italian actor based in the United states. He was seen as a sex symbol in the 1920's.He starred in some well-known movies like the four horse men of the apocalypse, blood and sand, etc. Born in 1895 and died in 1926. He was married to Jean Acker.
Valentinos are not scarce, they are everywhere. Find yourself a Valentino today馃槄. An idle mind is really the devil's workshop. So much for just sitting and thinking. I'm glad I have a dictionary on my phone. A new word has been added to my vocabulary, Valentino!!! I know some people I could use it on, smirks, they won't even see it coming 馃槀..
Thanks for your attention, I hope I didn't waste your time.
With love, wongi馃槉
