It started out all bad. I was rushed out of the bathroom by my mom's call. She wanted me to go on an errand, it was quite urgent. This was not how my day was supposed to begin. It was supposed to be a blissful Thursday for crying out loud!

I was sent to the bank to run some transactions and get certain documents. I got to the bank and the queue was not a lengthy one. The air conditioning saved me from the hot, scalding and blackening sun.
I got in, took a seat and relaxed.
I had already planned out how I would get the documents and leave within ten to thirty minutes. Well guess what! I spent thirty to forty-five minutes waiting for my turn and when it finally got to my turn I was happy.
The news the bank lady gave me wasn't an exciting one. She said the documents were close to being inaccessible and it had to take a long process before I could retrieve it. My impatient mind said I should stand up and leave while my patient mind said I should wait, after all the document was urgent.

I waited for like thirty minutes. I was going through my phone and decided to reply to some messages on my social media platform. 'he' was online and we got talking. I related my predicament and I expected to hear a 'sorry, don't worry you'd soon get the documents' but I heard a ' when you're done from the bank, how about we get something to eat'.
I was famished and wouldn't want to turn down a food offer but I barely knew him. He was new, well, a date won't hurt.
Trying to get to the location was a very hectic one. I almost got into an argument with the taxi driver, but I remained calm and I eventually got there.
"Oh no! Rita Rita, why are you even here in the first place, mom's waiting for the documents. My hungry mind also aired it's view, it was like 'Rita, just go in there and grab something to eat'. I got in and there he was. We got some food and had a lengthy chat.

As much as I tried to hide it, I was freezing. One, because the air conditioning in the eatery was so high, it felt like I was in a deep freezer where iced fish was kept. Two because he was smiling! Yes. That smile again. I didn't avoid the smile this time around. I stared to my heart's content, hahaha.
Turns out I wasn't the only one freezing, 'he' was too and so we finished up and got going. I hadn't laughed that much in a long while. It was totally worth it.
We dispersed and I got home. Gave the documents and tardah! Issue solved. It was kinda like killing two birds with one stone, or three in this case. one, I got to meet 'he' again, two I got to eat and three documents were delivered safely. Definitely a nice day, although it didn't start off on the right note.
To be continued….
