They say that 'you attract the things that you fear the most' and I guess that's true. Recently, I've been seeing a bee in my room. Good thing is that it doesn't come in a swarm, I would have just evacuated the room for them. For the past two weeks, a bee has been waking me up. It built its hive somewhere in my room and I'm yet to figure out where. Immediately I find the hive, whooosh! Down it goes.

I don't like bees at all but yet they keep coming. I close my windows before going to bed and I wonder how they come in. This morning, u jolted up when I heard the buzzing of the bee and tried to locate the nearest broom to pursue the bee but the broom was so far away. What if I got stung from the back while trying to get the broom? I lay back steadily and slowly opened my window and shifted the curtain. In about two minutes, the bee was gone and I shut the window close.
I can activate my 'avenger mode' with any other insect but when it comes to bees, I get very frail. They always capitalize on my frailty. There was this day when I said I'd face my fear and deal with the bee and boom! Few minutes later I was running and tripping and even rolling on the floor.. The bee was pursuing me , I felt like it got into my clothes at some point and I started crying and wailing. My mom asked what happened and I told her that a bee got into my clothes. I was stripped immediately and guess what? There was no bee. The bee succeeded in giving me public embarrassment because I was stripped in front of people and it was nowhere to be found. Now that's where my hatred towards bees started.
I felt so embarrassed. I was about 9years old at the time. I wish I could get revenge but those creatures are really malicious. There are what I call 'small but mighty'. They stop at nothing to prove their point. The day after my embarrassing moment, I saw another bee and another story began.

It seems like the bee was ready to fight and I was ready for it too. Drumrolls Let the battle begin. I was laying down on my mother's belly when I jolted up and picked up a broom. The bee was high above and so I found a broom with longer tips. I led it away from my mom's sight and started the real battle with the bee. I climbed tables, jumped down, rolled, hopped and swayed the broom. I did a whole lot and it wasn't in vain. I managed to kill the bee but by the time I did, the house was in discord. Everywhere was scattered. It was a total mess.
I felt very fulfilled. I felt like a champion😅. It wasn't easy at all but then I heard my mom's voice. She came out and saw the discord I had caused and she immediately ordered me to do a thorough clean up. With the massive joy in my heart, I cleaned everywhere, including the part I didn't scatter. It felt good sweeping the bee out.

After that time, I didn't have any encounters with bees until two weeks ago. Is history trying to repeat itself?. No! I won't fall for it this time around. I'd keep opening the windows for it to leave till I locate it's hive and maliciously destroy it with a villain smirk on my lips. Could it be that it wants to reconcile or revenge? Let's see how it all plays out. It won't be a bad idea to be friends with them. One more thing, my frail heart is no more afraid of bees (okay maybe a little bit of fear is still there) but, I'd survive the war if one arises.
