Let me tell you a short story about a man.
There was this man who had two pet dogs but he never really considered the dogs as pets because he was afraid of them. He bought them as security dogs. This man tried all he could to stay away from the dogs. He sent people to feed them and do other things that concerned them.
The truth is that he didn't hate them, he was just afraid of them. Dogs are very wise animals and anyone who has lived with a dog would attest to this. The dogs eventually noticed that this man was afraid of them and so they decided to make things right. How did they do this? They showed him overwhelming love.
Whenever he got back from work, they were the first to welcome him and even before he left for work, they bid him goodbye. The dogs tried in every way they could to prove to this man that they were harmless and that they loved him. Eventually, the man grew out of the fear he had for the dogs and now they live peacefully, with no fear.
All these happened because the man recognized the love that the dogs were trying to show. If he was a person who never took notice of his surroundings, he probably would have shoved the dog's actions aside and that fear would have still been embedded in him. Even if the man is still somewhat afraid of dogs, he has made a love-filled pact with his dogs and there's unity in his home.
When we talk about unity, it should be unity with every single thing that has life in it and not just fellow humans. This way, we would grow to be at peace with our environment and ecosystem at large.
Love is something that binds everyone together and in the month of love, we should do something exceptional just for love's sake. Why don't you talk to that friend you've had in mind for a long time? Or visit that person that you had a fallout with and strengthen our things. You could even give that one true friend who has been there for you a surprise gift, or maybe give your pets a special treat. These are some ideas of how to share love with your immediate environment. Do it for love, give love a chance.
