Greetings Splinterlands fam!
Before we go into the main action, let’s take a look at what tides both teams down on the battlefield: the rulesets. And they are;
All units have cripple (-1 to targets maximum health after each successful attack. But it does not affect units with immunity). Armor becomes crucial under this ruleset.
All units have the equal opportunity ability. Everyone targets the lowest-health monster in the opponent’s team. Hence in this kind of ruleset, monsters with the least health suffers first and the most.
This means the fight becomes chaotic, fast and unforgiving. Just One weak link and you are gone forever.
A Tideborn Archon that grants all friendly Magic Attack Units +1 Magic Attack. A star 1 foundation Summoner with 6 Mana Cap. Coming from the Water element adding extra weapon to team monsters.
#Round-1
The battle opened explosively with Equal Opportunity targeting the squishiest monsters. My Nim Guard made the opening clash with Great Bear. Little Sister and Sorrow Harvester focused down the Saltwater Mage immediately. Little Sister delivered the finishing blow, removing a key magic unit from their team. Nim Guard Captain absorbed early hits like a true fortress with its Void Ability it was able to reduce magic attacks by 50% less damage (rounded up) from magic attacks or 0 damage from magic attacks of 1 power. A perfect start of 1 warrior down. A big blow to the opponent.
Their magic pressure collapsed my Spellmonger even before we entered into the second round. A blast coming from the Canisan : Lunaki Howler, cutting deep into his health rendering her thorn ability useless. Sorrow Harvester followed up with more magic damage. Little Sister once again jumped in and cleaned up the weakened Wizard. Venguful Monk hammered Lunaki Howler, smashing him into pieces just some at the later part of #round-1. The beginning of Dominance building from my team. The match was now 4 against 2 in favor of me.
A death attack from the Sorrow went straight into Great Bear softening him up before another strike from Nim Guard, which sent him packing from the battle. Now, helpless Saltwater Mage was left alone to battle it out. Just imagine going up all alone against 4 deadly warriors? Such a suicidal mission. My team quickly cleared up the remaining scrabe. Victory on my side in just #2-rounds. The round two was such a quick and fast one. Display of true power and dominance. That is all for now, catch you in the arena and probably in my subsequent post! Happy Splinterlands New Season!!!
Archon Marlai Singariel was a force to reckon with yet with strategic planning, and the right synergy, we emerged victorious.
Overall, the team worked together nicely. The magic damage from Little Sister and Harvester did most of the heavy lifting. Little Sister and Vengeful Monk were surprisingly effective in picking off weak targets. Vengeful Monk kept the midline steady. And Nim Guard Captain, as always, stood firm absorbing hits back-to-back and ended the battle with confidence and victory. A good example of how a balanced team can really shine under Equal Opportunity coupled with Tis But Scratches ruleset.
