Hello my loving Asean Hive community,

Today my little brother said he wants to eat 'mu n laat kout'. I think 'mu n laat kout' would be called Myanmar’s Donut in English. In Myanmar, it means bread bracelet. 'mu n laat kout' in my opinion looks like a donut and a bracelet. My brother said he wanted to eat Myanmar’s Donut, so I went to the market but could not find the vendor selling that snack. I really wanted to eat that Myanmar’s Donut, so I decided to make it myself today. At first I thought of getting a little help from my mother, but I did it myself because my mother was busy. I had never made Myanmar's Donut recipe myself, so I asked my mother how to make this snack. Myanmar’s Donut does not contain cream or chocolate like other donuts. Myanmar’s Donut is paired with a main molasses. If you're always looking at my posts, you may have noticed that Molasses are widely used in Myanmar snack. Let me first tell you about the ingredients needed to make Myanmar’s Donut.

For glutinous rice flour, I use double bear brand. Same as glutinous rice flour brand when I making Floating Sweet Rice Ball. I put glutinous rice flour in a bowl. Then I added a little water and mixed it by hand. Once mixed, you will get something like the image above.

I took some glutinous rice flour and rolled it. And I touched the two edges. When I touch them together, I get the shape of a bracelet.

I heated the oil in a pan. When the oil is hot, I fry it all. I did not spend much time frying these Myanmar’s Donuts. About 5 minutes is enough to fry Myanmar’s Donuts. I also heat the Jaggery to accompany Myanmar’s Donuts.

Now I am ready to eat Myanmar’s Donuts. I did not use tempura flour when I made these, so it softened a bit. My brother said he really liked it.

Thanks for reading my post.🍇
