I'm not sure whether Fructus Rubi is normal raspberry or not. Some health-conscious restaurants and juice/milk tea shops often sell products with this ingredient.
The function of raspberry in traditional Chinese medicine is to tonify kidney, fortify semen and reduce frequent urination. An anecdotal story of the origin of its name is that a man gets up in the middle of the night to urinate several times in the basin, after eating this, he does not need to get up in the middle of the night to urinate, so the basin can be buckled over and not used (direct translation of the Chinese name means buckled over basin/bucket/bowl). So to some extent, people think that its role is associated with the kidney because frequent urination, impotence, premature ejaculation and so on in traditional Chinese medicine are caused by kidney deficiency, for these symptoms are naturally kidney tonifying. I found that this ingredient was also refined and sold as a health product. If you have those symptoms, you can try. I have no symptoms, so I will hold on to it.
NOTE. Now I know Fructus Rubi is not the same as respberries.
