"Spontaneous,"
Was the first word that came to my mind when I saw you walking towards me with a smile that held secrets.
"Spontaneous,"
Was what I thought when I saw your hands move swiftly over the piano keys as if they were clouds while you sang.
"Spontaneous,"
Was what you told me I was,
With my old crappy notebook that held too many messy poems no one understood but you.
"Spontaneous,"
Was something I never felt before,
But with you by my side, I felt like I held it in my palm.
Held the entire world in my palm.
That was, until you broke it.
"Spontaneous,"
Was what I thought as I watched you come out of the shroud you wore and showed your true self to me.
The very smile you used to captivate me spontaneously now held venom rather than secrets,
Lies rather than beautiful melodies.
Nightmares rather than daydreams.
My demons suddenly took your side,
And I watched both of you collide
Creating something I never thought could even exist, just to hurt me.
And I thought,
"Spontaneous,"
You had always been that.
Even when you tore me apart.
