It was the 28th of August, i didn't want to go to lahore to meet her, but i went there after pushing off my deceitful will of not going.
It was a completely spontaneous plan. She told me the night before that she was coming to Lahore. Since Lahore is relatively close to my home, I thought I might as well go and meet her. I really didn't feel like going, but I went anyway simply because I had made excuses so many times before saying, "I'll come another time." The reality is, I never actually went back to Islamabad, and we friends hadn't met up in the last five months.
Life has changed so much from so many dimensins. From my university days to my current unemployed life. I鈥檝e shaved my head and remained almost bald in this time period. Even this hairstyle might not suit me all. It has become my "new normal.""
When we met, it didn't feel at all like our university days were over. it felt as though we were still university students. Although she was in a bit of a hurry as she had to leave for the birthday of her sister, she didn't let the hurry to be shown on her face. We went to a Readings caf茅, ordered coffee, toom out two books, and started reading, (Funfact) we weren't actually reading at all. We were just pretending to, while laughing and joking with each other.
Then we went to the flower market to buy flowers for her sister's birthday. We bought a bouquet there for four thousand. Afterwards, he booked his ride and left. I bade him farewell, and then it was time for me to leave as well. It was a very spontaneous meeting, but certainly a memorable one.
Then I saw a bookshelf. it was likely made of wood(likely). I asked for the price and was told it was 10,000 rupees. That was quite expensive, but I really liked it.
There is always some event or another taking place in Lahore. As I was heading back towards the Toyata stand, the market was busy with crowds and illuminated by lights. It was creating a festive atmosphere. I took a few photos, but since it was time for me to return, I couldn't stay to wander through the market and take part in the joy of the occasion.
