What's up with your recent activities with @adsactly?, It's a question I've been hearing the last few days.
For the past several weeks I've been working behind the scenes with an amazing team of people.
It started when I was asked about @adsactly's current model and said I didn't know that much about it but it seemed stale and didn't get much engagement. I also mentioned I never really understood the model.
After that I had great conversations with @adsactly team members
@princessmewmew,
@morkrock,
@alexvan and more. The stakeholder behind ADSactly was on board and willing to consider all options.
Kudos to the team - it is not easy to listen to an outsider come in and tell people what they should do differently. Not only did most of them listen, but they are also thoughtful and amazing individuals who are interested in success, but not just personally for their Team and Steem as well! They took my starting ideas and made them better.
We are entering Phase One of a three-part project to breath new life into ADSactly, but also to embrace NewSteem.
Phase One: Addition of the Curation Division and Revamping the Blog. Both of these operations are in action. You will see updated witness voting, more engagement, different outgoing votes and more attention for the Authors.
Phase Two: This stage is about utilizing the NewSteem Tools to help reduce manual operations and improve processes. As well as adding an ADSactly Scot token and planning it's distribution. Other improvements, Additional transparency, managing beneficiaries and working on a plan for phase 3.
Phase Three: By phase three we plan to have built a stronger and growing community and to build a Tribe and a thriving community.
Engagement and Community participation are key to the success of any project going forward. The team is aware that has to be earned.
Let's be real here, sure @adsactly needs to show the changes are real, and not everyone likes change.
Yesterday someone asked me, "What if the changes don't last?" Well, nothing ever lasts and these changes will be followed by more changes... I don't know my brain doesn't work like that.
What is the harm in curation and rewarding Steemians for however long it lasts? I'm missing the downside... ?
I'm also not one to dwell in the past, so moving forward:
@adsactly is entering the push to NewSteem.
To be clear the Publishing side of @adsactly is being run by the team mentioned above. We have been having great brainstorming and idea swapping sessions on how to move forward.
I'm working on the curation side and we are all hoping for a brighter future on Steem.
If this is all news to you here are a couple of posts of Interest, or if you don't really care that much you can just watch for incoming votes from @adsup, the new curation account.
I will continue to curate the same type of things I always have. New Accounts that are trying, Dedicated Dolphins, Interesting Posts, Engagement Activities, and Projects that aim to support the Steem Community.
