CAR BEST SMALL.png

I always laugh when I see that cliche part in action movies, where during a tense and highly frantic chase scene, someone who has never even driven a motor car before (especially not a stick shift) is thrown behind the steering wheel and despite no formal training or lessons, can somehow instantly transform into one of the most professional stunt drivers on the planet! Power sliding, perfect gear changes, precision steering the full works; and with epic tenacity completely outdrives their pursuer (who by the way, is actually supposed to be a professional wheel man according to the storyline).

Now... I remember on my driving lessons, how when I got behind the wheel and tackled a clutch and gearbox for the very first time, I spent the next few hours "bunny hopping" non-stop up the road, crunching gears and stalling the engine every five seconds on average. So if that were me in the movie, I'm certain a ninety year old donkey riding a broken unicycle could have caught me quite easily.

Have a great Friday everyone :)
