The street Art Contest #319

Happy Sunday to the talented members of the great Streetart community. I wish all users the very best. It’s wonderful to participate in Week 319 of the Street Mural Contest. First of all, many thanks to this community and to my friend digi-me for this contest—it’s always a pleasure to share my photos of these open-air works of art, the murals. This week I’m featuring a unique and unconventional mural. I happened to visit San Luis Beach in the city of Cumána, Sucre State. I wandered off to a place called El Chinguirito, which is a bar and restaurant that serves meals, snacks, and drinks. I stopped to photograph its murals. First, where the name of the place is displayed, there are images of a palm tree, the sun, mountains, the sea, and a glass with cutlery, all in shades of orange, yellow, black, white, and red—so I stopped to take a selfie. Then there are other murals of men’s faces—with turbans and their faces painted—that look like masks; it’s a bit unusual for a beach, and I found it strange to see these images depicted in such a place. Against a black background, the first one on the cover is the entrance to this contest; it has a turban with writing in Hindi—I honestly don’t know what it means—and I’m not sure what the owner of the place intended with these images, but they struck me as dark and somewhat reminiscent of Santeria. I don’t know much about spiritual topics like this. At first, the murals caught my attention because they’re well-designed, but then the background made me think, and it seemed a bit sinister to me. Well, you can draw your own conclusions. The artist behind these murals has not been revealed.

Feliz Domingo a los talentosos miembros de la gran comunidad Streetart. Les deseo lo mejor a todos los usuarios. Es maravilloso participar en la semana 318 del Concurso de murales calle Primeramente muchas gracias a esta comunidad y al amigo digi-me por este concurso, siempre es gusto poder mostrar mis fotografias de los artes a cielo abierto de los murales. Esta semana muestro un mural exoterico y diferente, resulta que fui a la playa San Luis, de la ciudad de Cumána estado Sucre. Me aleje en un lugar llamado El Chinguirito , el cual es un bar restaurante que ofrece comidas, meriendas y bebidas. Me detuve a fotografiar sus murales, primeramente en donde tiene el nombre del lugar, El Chinguirito ,tiene imagenes de una palmera el sol, las montañas, el mar y una copa con cubiertos, entre colores naranjas, amarillo, negro blanco y rojo, así que me detuve a tomarme un selfie. Luego tiene otros murales de rostros de hombres,con turbantes y su rostro pintados, que parecen máscaras, es algo distinto para ser en la playa me parecio extraño ver estas imagenes plasmada en tal sitio. En un fondo negro, el primero de portada, es la entrada a este concurso, tiene el turbante tienes escritos en idioma hindú, en verdad no se que quieren decir, el dueño del lugar con estás imagenes, pero me parecieron oscuras y algo de santeria, no sé de este tema espirituales de este tipo, al principio me llamo la atensión los murales pues estan bien diseñadas, pero luego me puso a pensar el transfondo y me pareció algo malisicio, bueno ustedes sacarab sus propias conclusiones. El autor de estos murales no fue revelado.
