Today, Something that's good for the Seoul.. (pun!) at Seoul Restaurant near Chiang Mai University.
First things first, let's talk about the price. It's a little bit on the pricey side compared to other local restaurants around here, but trust me, it's worth it. The taste of the food is about 90% of what I remember from eating in Korea, so hats off to the Seoul Restaurant for nailing that authenticity factor. Plus, their Seoul Kimbab is really good!
The food itself is delicious, and the serving size is pretty satisfying. However, I do have one complaint - they don't give you much kimchi. But don't worry, just ask the staff for more and they'll happily oblige.
My boyfriend Kevin is addicted to the loje. It's creamy, savory, and spicy all at the same time - what's not to love? And don't even get me started on the ttoekbokki texture, it's just so good. Firm, chewy, aldente!
Personally, I'm a noodle fanatic. The weather was pretty hot, I decided to go for the cold noodles. I ordered the Busan-style one with buckwheat noodles and it was really refreshing with a good amount of spices. The noodles were firm and yum!
One thing that sets the Seoul Restaurant apart from other Korean restaurants in Chiang Mai is that they don't focus on meat buffet-style dishes. For me, this was the perfect style of Korean restaurant I was looking for. There were so many things on the menu that I wanted to try. The interior is simple but cool, and the staff is friendly. Oh, and did I mention they offer free water and ice? Score!
All in all, I've visited the Seoul Restaurant three times now and I can confidently recommend it and I'll definitely be coming back for more!
