Tuesday arrived too fast. The holiday lasted a blissful five days; Thursday through Tuesday. The days were busy because my grandsons came to stay for the holiday from Christmas Eve until today. The boys are ages thirteen and eight. They were well-behaved until Monday then things started to slide South with the thirteen-year-old. He refused to shower and he was beginning to smell like unwashed pubescent teens can smell.
He was told to do homework because he's way behind in his work. He's been grounded from electronics before Christmas. The ban was lifted for the holiday, but his mother warned him to work on his science. He will lose access to the new electronics he received for Christmas once more because he's falling behind.
By the time he got done being defiant toward his father, Jeff and myself, my screaming nerves and migraine brain was over the whole day.
Tonight the house is back to normal and now I just have to listen to trivial YouTube videos which Jeff finds entertaining. Did you know Mr. Clean's name is Vertilably Clean? Did you ever care? I didn't.
