Doing Good Comes Back to You
In this world, it's easy to only look out for number one. To focus just on your own needs and wants. But I've learned that showing kindness and doing good deeds for others always pays off in the end. What goes around really does come back around.
When you go out of your way to help somebody, even in a small way, it makes their day brighter. You've lifted a little weight off their shoulders. And that positive energy spreads. They'll be kinder to the next person they meet because you showed them generosity first.
One time I stopped to help a mom carrying groceries to her car in the rain. I just held the umbrella over her while she loaded the bags. Such a simple thing for me, but she was so grateful. She paid that kindness forward by buying coffee for the person behind her in the cafe line.
Those small acts of service are contagious in the best way. You might do a nice gesture thinking nothing of it. But to the person receiving it, that means so much. It gives them a warm feeling that they'll want to share with others too. Before you know it, your one good deed has started a whole ripple of goodness.
The more we go through life with kindness and care for our fellow humans, the more goodness comes back our way. When you make others' lives easier through selfless actions, people will be motivated to have your back too when you need help one day.
I've seen this universe's law of reciprocity at work so many times. Like when my car broke down, and three different strangers stopped to try and help me until one finally got it started. Those were people I'd never met, but my karma payment for the good I've put into the world.
Or when I was short a few dollars at the store for groceries, and the person behind me offered to cover it, no questions asked. Those are the types of caring individuals who were on the receiving end of someone else's generosity before.
The more you put positive energy out through good deeds, the more it flows back. When you make efforts to ease others' struggles, your own struggles also become easier to manage. You surround yourself with more helpers in your life.
It's a cycle of human solidarity that uplifts our whole community when we all participate. One person decides to be kind and resourceful to someone in need. That kindness gets paid forward from person to person in different ways until it eventually círculos back to benefit the original giver as well.
Too often we get caught up in our own hustle, prioritizing our interests above being good neighbors and citizens. But simple acts of service, compassion and cooperation make this world so much brighter. They create ripples of hope.
So keep doing good, no matter how small the deed may seem. Extend a hand to help others, and you'll find that help is given back when you require it. Pour out kindness, and you'll feel that warmth returning to you tenfold. One good turn always does lead to another and another - making our whole world lighter.
