Greetings to the members of the #blackandwhite community. The street is a runway. Yesterday, I visited the Historic Center of Havana; rather than walking around in search of photographs on a specific theme, I decided to sit right in the middle of the Plaza de la Catedral to watch people pass by, allowing me to capture their habits and gestures through my lens. Many individuals walk along the street so absorbed in their own thoughts that they don’t even notice they are being photographed, while others observe the camera with great curiosity—some even smile once they realize they have become the subject of an artist’s work. Saludos a los miembros de la comunidad #blackandwhite. La calle es una pasarela. En el día de ayer visité el Centro Histórico de La Habana, más que caminar a buscar fotografías específicas sobre un tema determinado, decidí sentarme en el mismo medio de la Plaza de la Catedral, para ver como las personas pasaban frente a mí y de esa manera poder captar con mi lente sus costumbres y gestos. Muchos sujetos caminan por la calle concentrados en sus propios pensamientos, ya que incluso ni se percatan que están siendo retratados por un fotógrafo, otros observan con mucha curiosidad la cámara e incluso sonríen cuando son conscientes que son el objeto del artista. Siempre es un placer compartir con ustedes estas experiencias.
