Suman

Hiya Everyone! Tori here! Today, I'll be showcasing a special rice cake that is widely popular here in the Philippines. Suman is another variation of a glutinous rice cake that is wrapped in banana or coconut leaves and then steamed. You can also use cassava instead of glutinous rice to make suman. This is mostly popular during the holidays as a breakfast meal where you just came back from attending the Misa de Gallo which occurs in days preceding Christmas. It is fun and delicious to eat and it is versatile since you can put whatever toppings or fillings you can on the suman.
