My marriage has been a roller coaster ride.

In this post, I am going to recap the many things that have happened throughout the year. I'm going to take this opportunity to look to the past, see what I could have done better and see what it is that is coming in the future.

I'll start with my wedding preparations which will take the whole of this ulog.

I'll write about other things in the next few days.

Wedding Proposal

I took quite some time to get my wedding proposal done. 10 stations that leading towards my house where I would propose to her. Each station had a Powerpoint presentation manned by 2 volunteers. There were more than 20 people there when I proposed.

That day alone was quite disorganized.

Though there were a lot of hiccups, and my fiancé arrived even before we were finished with the instructions and the rehearsals.

Many people broke rules that I set before the event.

In the end, I was still able to propose well enough to make the proposal a success.

I couldn't believe that they actually didn't show the whole of the presentations that I made because people thought that it was taking up too much of their time.

But, nevertheless I got married anyway. We had hundreds of heart-shaped balloons, thousands of flower petals, and candles lit up around my house that day.

It was something that I planned that made it in the end. Yes, it wasn't what I expected. But then with the turn out of so many family and friends for the occasion, I felt that it went well anyway.

Wedding Photo Shoot

The day of the photoshoot, I was not feeling too well. I woke up in the morning feeling my stomach was aching. It was the first few days of BabyBoo's period too. So we were hoping to cancel the shoot.

We called up Artiz Studio telling them that we were not able to make it. But if we were to cancel, we will have to wait for at least another month or two before we were able to take our photos.

Both of us decided we had to get there.

When we arrived, there was already a team of people waiting for us.

The team consisted of 5 people. 2 make up artists, 1 photographer and 2 assistants. The assistants helped us to put on our clothes and assist the photographer in setting up the scene so that we can take the photos. Little adjustments to our postures and clothing were also part of the assistants' job.

My make up was quite simple. But BabyBoo's one took at least one hour to put on. When she was done, she looked quite a lot like a k-pop singer. She definitely looked out of this world. I had the chance to take some photos with my phone and I think some of the best ones were taken on it.

That day, we had so much fun posing and doing the photoshoot that we didn't really think that time was passing by so quickly. Soon, we were done.

Both of us enjoyed our experience there at Artiz Studio. This photography studio is owned by Koreans and they have studios across Asia including Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

Malaysia has the cheapest package considering all the countries that Artiz Studio is operating. We are definitely blessed to have found this place for our wedding photoshoot.

Wedding Preparations

Wedding preparations began in March when I proposed. The wedding was scheduled for September 21st 2019

Our biggest task was to get the wedding presentations done. We did presentations where we showed all the many photos that were taken during the time we spent together since the camp. We also made souvenir keychains that had a little chicken and monkey where, as I am born in the year of the chicken and she was born in the year of the monkey.

Multiple versions of the keychain were made by BabyBoo. She only picked up the skills of making the souvenirs when I taught her to do so on Photoshop. She picked it up very fast and the keychains came out really cute and adorable.

We got hold of Yin's Photography and Light Feather Studio to help us with the photo booth and wedding video shoot respectively.

The music during the wedding was provided by Ronald. The multitalented musician that once taught me singing.

A lot of hard work to prepare the venue, meeting with the priest, going for a pre-wedding course at church, and all the little things leading to the wedding was done with the aid of my mom. She was very busy for the next couple of months after I got engaged.

We also had to prepare for an Ipoh wedding dinner. In the process, we had a lot of fun putting things together and soon, it was wedding day.

To be continued...
