Welcome to my hive blog, a small art space. Today I made a simple portrait of a beautiful girl, this time it occurred to me to try again one of the drawing techniques I had in my beginnings in the platform, which consisted of somewhat animated designs, using as main base a line art, usually in my previous works, lacking this feature, bringing to the final design a little more clean and realistic style. In this drawing, besides using an old technique, I combined it with the knowledge I have acquired lately, definitely improving the finish to those first works.
Next I show you the step by step of the development of the illustration.
Sean todos bienvenidos a mi blog de hive, un pequeño espacio de arte. El día de hoy realice un retrato sencillo de una hermosa chica, esta vez se me ocurrió probar nuevamente una de las técnicas de dibujo que tenía en mis inicios en la plataforma, la cual consistía en diseños un tanto animado, usando como base principal un line art, usualmente en mis anteriores trabajos, carecen de esta característica, aportando al diseño final un estilo un poco más limpio y realista. En este dibujo además de realizar una técnica vieja la combine con los conocimientos que he adquirido últimamente, definitivamente mejorando el acabo a aquellos primeros trabajos.
A continuación les muestro el paso a paso del desarrollo de la ilustración.
For this first work I decided to make a girl with a seductive look, with an animated style, using line art, I used a predominantly red color palette with a blue background to create a contrast, as it was a frontal drawing, I decided to use the symmetry tool to achieve a perfect face.
Para este primer trabajo decidí realiza una chica con una mirada seductora, con un estilo animado, usando line art, use una paleta de color predominantemente roja con un fondo azul para crear un contraste, como fue un dibujo de frente, decidí usar la herramienta de simetría para lograr un rostro perfecto.
We start the drawing with a sketch, we define the proportions of the drawing with all the details that compose it. Then in another layer and using the symmetry tool I make a clean lineart, defining well every detail of the face, except for the hair.
Iniciamos el dibujo con un boceto, definimos las proporciones del mismo con todos los detalles que lo componen. Luego en otra capa y usando la herramienta simetría realizo un lineart limpio, definiendo bien cada detalle del rostro, a excepción del cabello.
In this step I add the color in the drawing, for that I use different layers and tonalities with saturation and low brightness, at the moment of coloring I am careful not to go out of the lineart. Once I have the base colors, I proceed to draw also the lineart and add some small color variations, like blush on the cheeks.
En este paso agrego el color en el dibujo, para eso uso capas diferentes y tonalidades con saturación y bajo brillo, al momento de colorear tengo cuidado de no salirme del lineart. Una vez tengo los colores base, procedo a dibujar también el linear y agrego unas pequeñas variación de color, como rubor en las mejillas.
Now in this step, I proceed to place the general shines and shadows. First I start with the shadows, in this process I add several layers of shadows in multiply blend mode, with the intention of gradually darkening the drawing. We repeat the same process with the glows, but using the add blend mode.
Ahora en este paso, procedo a colocar los brillos y sombras generales. Primero empiezo con las sombras, en este proceso voy agregando varias capas de sombras a modo de mezcla multiplicar, con la intención de ir oscureciendo poco a poco el dibujo. Repetimos el mismo proceso con los brillos, pero usando el modo de mezcla añadir.
To finish we enhance the shines, to give more life to the drawing, we add details of lights in the eyes, lips and nose. We also finished the work with a blue background to increase the contrast in the design and finally we embellished with a bow of light that borders the face of our character.
Para finalizar realzamos los brillos, para darle más vida al dibujo, agregamos detalles de luces en los ojos, labios y nariz. Además terminamos el trabajo con un fondo azul para incrementar el contraste en el diseño y finalmente adornamos con un lazo de luz que bordea el rostro a nuestro personaje.
