Huni Roshi is a delightful coconut flatbread hailing from the Maldives. Traditionally served alongside dishes like rihaakuru or mas huni, this bread offers a tender bite with hints of coconut flavor. A staple in Maldivian cuisine, Huni Roshi perfectly complements both savory and sweet dishes.

馃ゥ 1 cup Grated coconut
馃珤 2 tablespoons Cooking oil
馃 1/2 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

1- Combine Dry Ingredients:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of sifted flour and 1 cup of grated coconut.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil and 1/2 teaspoon of salt to the dry mix.

2- Mix and Knead:

7- Cook Flatbread:

  • Place a rolled flatbread onto the hot pan.
  • Cook each side until light brown spots appear, pressing gently with a spatula to ensure even cooking and puffing.

8- Finish Cooking:

  • Once both sides are browned and the bread is slightly puffed, remove from the heat.
