Parenting, can you ever do it right :) ... I don't think my children are short of anything, sometimes I think we spoil them too much but then again, we like to do it for them. I think standards and values are very important, respect for others, however someone thinks or acts. When I hear the signals from others, they have picked it up well and have both feet on the ground.
I cannot complain, but my parents used to be poorly off, there was not much room for luxury. Did it make me worse? No, I just think it made me the person I am today. My children are my everything, I enjoy everything they experience every day, including the disappointments ... That's just part of life. It is nice to see how they develop into the men they are now, 17 and 15 years old, with all facets of their development. I'm not worried about their future, we (my wife and I) support them where we can with good counsel and advice, but in the end they have to choose their own path. But I'm not worried about that, they are made of the right wood :) ...
They are now both in a phase in which they have to make choices for the future .... Difficult, challenging and (given the age) not always what mom and dad want :) But I also have the necessary experience myself, which I think that I can provide them with sincere advice, so I do ... but in the end it is their choice.
I love them and I will support them in everything I can.
