The Choice of Destiny馃グ馃コ Walking Into My 5-Star Dream with My Boss's Blessings
The last twenty-four hours have been a complete rollercoaster of emotions for me. After reading all your beautiful comments on my last post, my mind became clear, but my heart was still very heavy. Making a choice between career growth at a luxury 5-star hotel and loyalty to a nice boss is the hardest thing I have ever done. Last night, I finally made my decision, and it turned into the most emotional shift of my life.

The Conversation: 2:00 AM inside the Lobby
Around 2:00 AM, the lobby became totally quiet. The main glass doors were shut, and only the yellow corner lamps were glowing. My senior manager was sitting in his glass cabin, checking some files. My heart was pounding like a drum, and my hands were cold. I took a deep breath, walked into his office, and placed the 5-star hotel manager's business card on his clean desk.
I looked down and told him everything with full honesty. I told him how that elite guest offered me a top-class job with a much bigger salary. I told him that I did not want to be ungrateful to him, because he gave me paid leave when I was burning with a high fever. My voice broke, and I could feel warm tears ready to come out of my eyes. I felt like I was breaking the trust of a man who treated me like family.

Man, those simple words hit my chest like a wave of pure gratitude! I could not stop my tears this time. In my old cloth market job, the owner kicked me out into the cold rain just for asking for a ten-minute rest. And here was a true leader, waving me goodbye with a huge smile and blessings just because he wanted to see me grow.

Next Monday, I will wear a brand new uniform, step onto the shiny floors of a massive 5-star luxury hotel, and start a new chapter of my life with full respect.
