This was one of the best family birthdays I have ever had, my dad was turning 45 and we went to celebrate it in a very nice place, La Colonia Tovar.
It was almost a two hour drive, and we woke up very early to take advantage of all the daylight, but it was worth every second because the space we booked was very nice and we played a lot with our little cousins.
In 2010 I was 21 and it was a lot more fun than it is now (note my hair), so I played and ran all over the place quite a bit. The adults cooked steak and chicken on the grill while my cousins and I enjoyed the open space and grassy ground.
It was very cold, but we were well prepared with sweaters and jackets.
When evening fell, we sang happy birthday and ate a delicious cake that my mom had baked.
On the way back, all the children slept in the cars, while we youngsters accompanied the adults who were driving on the dark roads, because it was already dark and the area had very little lighting.
This is one of the memories that I treasure most in my memory, especially because two of those relatives are no longer with us. I am very glad I have kept all these photos (and some videos) because otherwise it would be very difficult to remember everything with so many details.

Este fue uno de los mejores cumplea帽os familiares que he pasado, mi pap谩 estaba cumpliendo 45 a帽os y fuimos a celebrarlo en un lugar muy bonito, La Colonia Tovar.
Fue un viaje de casi dos horas, y despertamos muy temprano para aprovechar toda la luz del d铆a, pero vali贸 la pena cada segundo porque el espacio que reservamos estaba muy bonito y jugamos mucho con nuestos primos peque帽os.
En 2010 yo ten铆a 21 a帽os y era mucho m谩s divertido que ahora (n贸tese mi cabello), as铆 que jugu茅 y corr铆 bastante por todo el lugar. Los adultos cocinaron carne y pollo a la parrilla mientras mis primos y yo disfrutamos del espacio abierto y el suelo de grama.
Hac铆a mucho fr铆o, pero est谩bamos bien preparados con sweaters y chaquetas.
Cuando cay贸 la tarde, cantamos el feliz cumplea帽os y comimos una deliciosa torta que hab铆a horneado mi mam谩.
En el viaje de vuelta, todos los ni帽os durmieron en los carros, mientras los j贸venes acompa帽谩bamos a los adultos que conduc铆an en las oscuras v铆as, porque ya era de noche y esa zona ten铆a muy poca iluminaci贸n.
Este, es uno de los recuerdos que m谩s atesoro en mi memoria, especialmente porque dos de esos familiares ya no es谩n con nosotros. Me alegra mucho haber conservado todas estas fotos (y algunos videos) porque de lo contrario ser铆a muy dif铆cil recordarlo todo con tantos detalles.
