Today I only have a couple of photos to share with you, yet they mean a lot to me. For one thing, they capture the day we reunited with my cousin who came to visit us from Spain—someone we hadn't seen in a long time. That family reunion helped strengthen our bonds, and it was a day we truly enjoyed. But on the other hand, I loved it because I was in my element... What do I mean by that? Well, we held the gathering in the school library where my cousin and sister used to study. It was a perfect spot—large and spacious, with plenty of tables where we could set up (I shared all that in a previous post)—but it also gave me the chance to freely explore all the books they had there. And I absolutely LOVE books 😍! Obviously, I didn't have time to read them—and that wasn't my intention anyway—but I was fascinated by all the titles they had on the shelves.
Hoy solo tengo un par de fotos para compartir con ustedes y sin embargo significan mucho para mi, por una parte porque pertenecen al día que hicimos el reencuentro con mi prima que vino a visitarnos desde España, y teníamos mucho tiempo sin verla, ese reencuentro familiar nos ayudó a reforzar nuestros lazos, y fue un día que realmente disfrutamos, pero por otra parte también me encantó porque yo estaba en mi elemento... ¿Qué quiero decir con esto? que hicimos la reunión en la biblioteca del colegio donde solían estudiar mi prima y mi hermana, era un lugar adecuado por lo grande, espacioso y porque tenía muchas mesas en las cuales nos ubicamos (compartí todo eso en otro post, anterior a este) pero por otra parte me permitió explorar a voluntad todos los libros que tenían allí, y yo AMO CON LOCURA LOS LIBROS 😍, obviamente no me dio tiempo de leerlos y de hecho no estaba allí con esa intención, pero me fascinó ver todos los títulos que tenían allí.
I took it upon myself to browse through the sections; while they had the standard subject textbooks—which aren't even used anymore these days—they also stocked renowned classics like *Don Quixote*, as well as novels by Jules Verne and Gabriel García Márquez. I was thrilled whenever I came across a book I liked; in fact, my family started joking that no one would ever be able to drag me out of there. Oh my! Especially when I found several novels by Jane Austen 😱 😍 🤗
Me dí a la tarea de revisarlos por sección, y si bien tenían los típicos libros de texto de asignaturas (los cuales hoy en dia ya ni se usan) también tenían novelas clásicas y de renombre como Don Quijote de la Mancha, algunas novelas de Julio Verne y de Gabriel García Márquez, en fin, yo estaba feliz cada vez que encontraba alguna novela de mi agrado, de hecho mi familia empezó a bromear diciendo que ya nadie me iba a poder sacar de allí. ¡Nooo! y en especial cuando encontré varias novelas de Jane Austen 😱 😍 🤗
