It's been a while. I spent a few months off the road waiting for insurance money and trying to find a vehicle. I ended up getting a Ford E150 cargo van, just standard with no high roof. I put about 1000 miles on it so far.

I left the van down in Arizona and caught a ride back to New York for the holidays to visit family and friends. I'll be flying back out to Arizona in January to get back in the van. I'm still trying to find enough remote work to sustain myself but it hasn't happened yet so I may end up doing some more temp jobs.

I'm also working on getting involved with holochain. The production release of holochain is planned to be available around spring 2019. To the extent that I continue to blog later next year, I'll probably migrate from steemit to something like humm on holochain. Also, if anyone in the vanlife/nomad community would like to work together on any holochain apps, that's also something I'm interested in. I have some thoughts on a lot of different possibilities. I heard Cheap RV Living was thinking about an app for people listing land for use. A thought I had was for listing tools and workspaces for working on vehicles. A mutual credit clearing system could be used to facilitate exchanges and enable a thriving alternative economy. The main advantage of this system compared to various blockchain projects is that it addresses the concentration of wealth and scalability problems. If anyone is interested in getting involved, let me know.
