Namaste and Welcome everyone to another week of Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Theme: Reward Cards! This week's social media challenge is about a new set of cards that will go live in a few hours from now.
Just about two weeks ago we got information in Reward Cards Update post that we are going to get a new set of reward cards here.
This new set of cards, called Rebellion Reward Cards, will replace the Chaos Legion Reward Cards currently available in the shop. Since this new set of cards will replace the old ones, you can grab your favourite Chaos Legion Rewards cards before the new ones launch and as also said in the official post, this is the end of an era but also the beginning of an exciting new one. Why? Because, this new set of cards comes with some really cool new abilities.
Let's know a little about them.
After round 1, at the beginning of each following round, gain a random ability from the opponent's team. 25% chance to gain a random ability from an attacker when hit. Dispel removes one mimicked ability in the order they were gained. Debilitations, Targeting abilities, Ambush, Weapons Training, Flank, Reach, Charge, and Taunt cannot be mimicked.
Each round, restore 1/3 of max health to allied units, rounded down. Each time a unit is healed, its max health is reduced by 1.
If the target has 2 or less health after a successful attack, perform another attack against the same unit.
Always targets enemy units with Flying first regardless of abilities or rulesets. +2 damage if the target has Flying.
With the new set of Reward cards, they're also introducing Debilitations, which damage or inflict negative status effects on allies instead of enemies. This is also something very unique. Not everyone always has abilities, in some conditions, your warriors can be harmful to their own team, and some such weaknesses have been added to this new set of cards.
Let's know a little about these three debilitations as well.
Reapplies Burning at the beginning of each round. Burning has a 33% chance to spread to adjacent units at the beginning of each round, and then all Burning units lose 2 health. Burning can be cleansed.
Deals 1 damage to all allied units at the beginning of each round.
Each round, Weary units have a 10% chance of becoming Exhausted. This chance increases by 10% every round, up to a maximum of 80%. Exhausted units skip their turn and cannot Retaliate.
This new set of reward cards will be the same size as Chaos Legion's as follows.
The only difference will be the four new abilities and 3 new debilitations which we have already discussed above.
Additionally, these new cards cannot be bought, sold, rented, traded, delegated, or used before release but can be found via rarity draws and loot chests in your local Reward Shop. Make sure to follow Splinterlands Ambassadors for Reward Card Sneak Peaks and please credit the ambassadors who initially shared the card.
However, when Rebellion's reward cards are released on August 15th, you'll be able to unbind your Chaos Legion soulbound reward cards. Once unbound, these cards can be bought, sold, rented, traded, delegated, and used on land.
For the first 29 days, it will cost 10 times a card's power-per-BCX in Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) to unbind it.
For example, for the first 29 days, a max-level regular-foil Drybone Raider will cost 55,000 DEC (11 BCX * 500 power * 10) to unbind.
I won't tell you about the cards included in the new set here because it will be more exciting for you to explore them yourself. In just a few hours that new set of cards will be released, after which you will step into a new and exciting era of Splinterlands where you will get the freedom to further strengthen your depth of understanding and strategies in this amazing game. The world of Splinterlands takes on a different level of beauty with new abilities, debilitations and cards that will test your wits, tactics and strategies.
I hope this post has been helpful, informative and exciting. I have tried to share every important information in less words without spoilers of cards. Although I myself am new to this game and am trying to understand it better every day, I think these new abilities, debilitations, and cards will make this game even more exciting and this will be liked by all the new and old players and with all this, we will get the freedom to make better strategies in the game, which will make the game even more fun.
