How is this making up for forgetting our anniversary babe? She asked with a trace of anger in her voice .

Oliver dragged her close to him with his hands around her waist, honey, I thought we could enjoy the evening together, just the two us wrapped in each other arms with the calm the atmosphere brings.

Hmm Lina raised an eyebrow. Okay, so what are we supposed to be doing? She asked with a hint of sarcasm.

Let's talk, he said smiling. Let's talk about how far we have come, how we started, the challenges we have faced, and how we have stayed in love all these years.

Feeling at ease she smiled, Babe I will talk I actually love the idea of us talking, but I will like it if there was something to make it more special. Like candle light, red roses, wine and dinner.. you know .

I understand what you're trying say how about you close your eyes? Oliver said.
Lina hesitated for a while before agreeing to it. He took her hand and led her to a small frame decorated with flowers that served as a doorway.

Open your eyes, he said, his voice full with excitement.

Wow Lina's eyes widened at the romantic setup before her. This is beautiful babe she said with her disappointment forgotten.

Lina playfully hit his chest, so you were trying to prank me, well it worked.

The both laughed hugging each other, I promised to make it up didn't I? I just wanted to surprise you Oliver said.

They both sat down to enjoy their dinner and Oliver held her hand and whispered happy anniversary babe I'm sorry I forgot. The years spent together have been the best part of my life. I love you.
