It's been 8 months of peace, self-love, happiness, growth and more. I have had my fair share of love, pleasant and unpleasant. Looking back, l am glad i chose myself and ended my last relationship. It was my second worst relationship. Yeah, you read that right -second worst.

I met Fred on a dating app, specifically a Christian app where i thought everyone would be good in morals and all.
The first time we spoke was on February 14th, Valentine's Day. I was at home with my roommate gisting and all when his call came through.
"Hello, good afternoon i said when i picked.
"Hello, good afternoon. My name is Fred i got your number from your introductry post in the dating app.
His voice was masculine and sweet that i couldn't help but fall from that first call.
We spoke for few minutes and hung up with him promising to call later that day.
That was the beginning of a beautiful nonsense for me. There were signs but i was in love and didn't see them at first. He always looked for reasons to pick or start an argument with me that i ended up apologizing everytime. He questioned my movements in school and people i was with.
I was told to stay away from friends he had never met because i was waiting for them finish what they were doing so we could go to class together. He was a dictator in the relationship (for someone i had not met physically but have been talking on the phone for months), causing me emotional hurt and all.
The straw that broke the camel's back was when he tried to come between me and my sister, telling me to stop visiting my sister spending time with her even during the holidays and focus on my final year project. I realized he was trying to isolate me from and every relationship i had. I knew i had to get out from the relationship.
The comparison, derogatory words and emotional abuse was much that i had to quit, It was painful ending it given how deeply in love but then it was for the best.
