Five Minute Freewrite: analyst of what?

In a very remote village called Zulu, there exists a man whose IQ was the highest in the entire village. People would often go to him for answers, and he would often answer to the best of his knowledge. His fame spread so far that even people from the neighboring villages would seek him out for advice and solutions. Everyone started assuming he had an answer to everything, but little did they know that he did not know everything.

One hot afternoon, a group of people came to see him and ask him a particular question. The question was “between men and women in the community, who had the highest number”. He was very confused at first because he would need to have the records of people in the community. Now, because he was the wisest person in the community, he decided to inform them about the census and the need to count the total number of people in the community.

His community people agree, and that was how the very first census was held in the community. Using the records from the census, he was able to analyze and provide an answer to their previous question. Shortly after, a similar question was asked: “They wanted to know the total number of children being born in the village yearly”. It was at this point that he had to inform the customer that all these kinds of questions can only be answered when they have the appropriate records, and that was how the whole community knows the importance of record-keeping.

After several months, the village was developing rapidly, and he sat down on his chair, wondering analyst of what people would call him as he was literally good at running any data as long as the data was correctly prepared. That was how he became the first multi-analyst in the village.
