Flagstaff is a great city if you love nature and the outdoors. Lots to do with the mountains right next to town and lots of group activities for running, hiking and cycling.

I spent most of my life in the Northeast so snow in winter and lush forests are more to my liking than the dry southwest. Flagstaff is a really great place, very outdoors and nature oriented

It's in the Prescott National Forest. We have a very good local trails organization that works on the widespread trail system and the community works hard to maintain them.

This area usually gets a lot more snow as it's about 800 feet higher but not much left. It's rugged country but great for hiking.
