A different run today as I'm over in the NW part of Arizona to check out a different spot to hike and collect some more agates. Up early, early in the morning after camping out overnight in Kingman.
A flat and boring loop around the busy business district to get in some miles before heading out into the boonies. Not much of a place to run but at least the roads weren't too busy on an early Sunday morning and it wad a pretty sky to great the day.
My hip and legs felt ok even after sleeping in the back of my car so even though a slow run it wad a bit of an improvement.
I added on a couple of miles of hiking scrabbling around the rocky landscape along old Route 66 (the road made famous in the song) that winds its way along the mountainous terrain here. Barely wide enough for a couple of cars but it ways pretty scenic.
6 hours of digging and hammering the rocks yielded me sore muscles and a good workout, but unfortunately just clear chalcedony and no fire agates.
Oh well, just have to stick with Saddle Mountain and gold panning I guess (especially since they're FREE 馃槉馃槉馃槉).
