Slow and steady today as my run was better and my hip not as painful this morning. Not the greatest but at least it was an improvement to start the new week.
A sunny day but a chilly wind accompanied me most of the way. It was nice to run on my frequently run hilly course with the sun lighting up the scenery. Not too much difficulty handling the up and down of this road route although it would be nice if my pace was 30 seconds or more faster. Hopefully that will come ad we'll.
Interesting to note that a year ago I had just run a bit over 70 miles up in Nevada in my not that great Jackpot Ultra. Guess it was a good thing that the covid restrictions put off my race this year until 2022 as I don't think I would have come close to matching that mileage in 2021.
