¿Hola a todos, como se encuentran? Yo espero que bien, en la entrada de hoy quiero mostrarles una de las cosas que me gusta hacer como hobby y eso es customizar muñecas.
Hello everyone, how are you? I hope so, in today's post I want to show you one of the things I like to do as a hobby and that is customizing dolls.
Hacer muñecas es algo que me gusta mucho, es relajante, divertido y es otra forma de disfrutar mi pasión por el coleccionismo, por las muñecas, la ropa y el maquillaje.
Making dolls is something I really like, it's relaxing, fun and it's another way to enjoy my passion for collecting, for dolls, clothes and makeup.
Esta vez voy a hacer una muñeca de Jem, personaje de la serie de los 80s Jem y los hologramas, para hacer a Jem usare como base a una muñeca barbie chat divas, creo que esta muñeca es de 2006 y la razón por la que la usare como base es porque es una barbie que puede hablar y cantar, jem es una cantante así que esta barbie le va a la perfección como base.
This time I am going to make a doll of Jem, a character from the 80s series Jem and the holograms, to make Jem I will use a barbie chat divas doll as a base, I think this doll is from 2006 and the reason why I I will use it as a base because it is a barbie that can talk and sing, jem is a singer so this barbie works perfectly as a base.
Primero comenzare con remover la pintura de su cara con quita esmaltes para uñas, fue un poco difícil ya que esta barbie tiene un plástico diferente en la cara que permite que su boca se mueva.
First I will start with removing the paint from her face with nail polish remover, it was a little difficult since this barbie has a different plastic on her face that allows her mouth to move.
Lo siguiente es quitarle la ropa y pintar su cabello de rosado como lo tiene Jem, el cabello lo pintare con papel crepe, caliente agua y meto el papel allí para que el agua se pinte, luego meto el cabello de la muñeca por 1 hora en el agua para que absorba el color, luego dejo secar el cabello.
The next thing is to take off her clothes and I'm going to paint her hair pink as Jem has it, I'll paint the hair with crepe paper, heat water and put the paper in there so that the water paints, then I put the doll's hair for 1 hour in the water to absorb the color, then let the hair dry.
Ya con el cabello listo ahora si empezare a pintar su rostro, hice un boceto simple con lápiz para guiarme y pinte su maquillaje con pinturas al frio.
Now with the hair ready now if I start to paint her face, I made a simple sketch with a pencil to guide me and I painted her makeup with cold paints.
Con su maquillaje listo tome las medidas del cuerpo de la muñeca para hacerle un vestido que usa este personaje el cual es este de la imagen.
With your makeup ready, take the measurements of the doll's body to make her a dress that this character wears, which is this one in the image.

Tenia este pequeño pedazo de tela rosa el cual es muy bonito y no se de donde salió, pero era perfecto para el vestido y los guantes, tracé el molde sobre la tela y empecé a hacer todo. Hacer guantes para muñecas es un poco complicado así que opte por hacer como unas muñequeras y pintar sus manos para que se combinen con la tela.
I had this little piece of pink fabric which is very pretty and I don't know where it came from, but it was perfect for the dress and the gloves, I traced the pattern on the fabric and started doing everything. Making doll gloves is a bit tricky so I opted to make them as wristbands and paint their hands to blend in with the fabric.
Para terminar, coloqué la cinta con plumas al vestido y le hice su pulsera.
To finish, I attached the feathered ribbon to the dress and made her bracelet.
Y listo, así quedo mi muñeca de jem, me gusto el resultado, aunque para mi tristeza al colocar las baterías al reproductor que la hace hablar no funciono, aunque lo que tiene es fácil de arreglar tendría que buscar a alguien que sepa trabajar estas cosas ya que no muchos se animan a reparar cosas de juguetes aunque puedan.
And that's it, that's how my jem doll was, I liked the result, although to my sadness when I put the batteries in the player that makes it talk it didn't work, although what it has is easy to fix, I would have to find someone who knows how to work these things since not many are encouraged to repair toy things even if they can.
