Inicié este cosplay desde cero en octubre del año pasado. En un principio quería llevarlo a una convención, pero la verdad es que no suelo asistir a convenciones; así que al final decidí no ir, lo que más disfruto del cosplay es el proceso y tomarme fotos, con representar a un personaje que amo soy mas que feliz.

En un principio me propuse hacerlo en una sola semana como reto personal, pero al llegar al final de esa semana entendí que no estaba listo. Decidí entonces hacerlo con calma. No soy perfeccionista, pero sí meticulosa, y hacer las cosas apuradas cuando sé que pueden quedar mejor no va conmigo.

I started this cosplay from scratch last October. Initially, I wanted to take it to a convention, but the truth is I don't usually go to conventions; so in the end, I decided not to go. What I enjoy most about cosplay is the process and taking pictures. Just portraying a character I love makes me more than happy.

At first, I set out to finish it in a single week as a personal challenge, but by the end of that week, I realized I wasn't ready. So I decided to take my time. I'm not a perfectionist, but I am meticulous, and rushing things when I know they can be done better isn't my style.

Comencé por la parte que más me emocionaba: la peluca. Era mi primera vez haciendo una peluca con foami, después de ver muchos tutoriales con acabados increíbles. Hice la base a la medida de mi cabeza, fui recortando y pegando mechón por mechón. Me encanta todo lo relacionado con el cabello, así que disfruté muchísimo esta parte.

I started with the part I was most excited about: the wig. It was my first time making a wig with foam, after watching many tutorials with amazing results. I made the base to fit my head, then cut and glued it strand by strand. I love everything related to hair, so I really enjoyed this part.

Tuvo errores, claro: detalles como desniveles y cosas que no consideré desde el inicio, pero aun así estoy muy orgullosa del resultado, sobre todo siendo mi primera vez.

It had mistakes, of course: details like uneven surfaces and things I didn't consider from the beginning, but I'm still very proud of the result, especially since it was my first time.

Luego vino la parte que menos disfruto: la costura. Aunque llevo años cosiendo mis propios trajes y modificando ropa, sigue siendo lo que menos me gusta. El vestido era un diseño sencillo y quedó un poco corto, pero no me preocupa porque usaré leggins. Cuando me lo probé me gusto mucho.

Then came the part I enjoy least: the sewing. Although I've been sewing my own clothes and altering garments for years, it's still my least favorite part. The dress was a simple design and ended up a little short, but I'm not worried because I'll wear leggings. I really liked it when I tried it on.

La especie de capa fue la parte más difícil. Primero la pegué, pero la tela no caía bien, así que la despegué, la cosí de nuevo, ajusté medidas y el resultado mejoró muchísimo. No quedó idéntica al personaje, pero después de tantos intentos decidí dejarla así.

The cape-like piece was the most difficult part. I first glued it on, but the fabric didn't hang well, so I unglued it, sewed it again, adjusted the measurements, and the result was much better. It didn't end up looking exactly like the character, but after so many attempts, I decided to leave it as is.

Los brazaletes los hice con cartulina dorada. Son sencillos, pero el personaje es muy 2D y de trazos gruesos, así que funcionan bien. Más adelante puedo mejorar detalles.

I made the bracelets with gold cardstock. They're simple, but the character is very 2D with thick lines, so they work well. I can improve the details later.

También hice la pieza del cuello en tela, pinté los detalles del traje con pinturas para tela (que siempre me dan buenos resultados) y fabriqué las orejas tipo ninfa con alambre, papel y pega. Esa parte de manualidades fue de mi favorita.

I also made the collar piece out of fabric, painted the details of the costume with fabric paints (which always give me good results), and made the nymph-like ears with wire, paper, and glue. That crafting part was my favorite.

La pieza más grande fue la estructura de piedras en la cabeza del personaje. Las talle con anime grueso, pero al verla pintada noté que era demasiado grande. Tuve que rehacerla más pequeña y cubrirla con papel maché. Fue trabajoso, pero valió la pena.

The largest piece was the stone structure on the character's head. I carved it with thick foam board, but when I saw it painted, I realized it was too big. I had to remake it smaller and cover it with papier-mâché. It was hard work, but it was worth it.

Para el final dejé algo que sabía que disfrutaría: el efecto musgo. Usé relleno de peluche teñido y lo apliqué en las zonas correspondientes para darle textura real. Me encantó el resultado.

I saved something I knew I'd enjoy for last: the moss effect. I used dyed stuffing and applied it to the relevant areas to give it realistic texture. I loved the result.

Comencé este cosplay en octubre 2025 y lo terminé a inicios de febrero 2026. Aunque no todo el proceso se disfruta, ver el traje terminado es muy satisfactorio, y usarlo aún más.

I started this cosplay in October 2025 and finished it in early February 2026. Although not all of the process is enjoyable, seeing the finished costume is very satisfying, and wearing it is even more so.

Pronto espero poder hacer la sesión de fotos (tuve un inconveniente con la luz), y me encantaría que luego se pasen a ver el resultado final.

I hope to be able to do the photo shoot soon (I had a problem with the lighting), and I would love for you to come and see the final result afterwards.
