Magnificent Marigolds.
The vibrant beauty of marigolds will always brighten ones day and lift ones spirit. These marigolds were thriving in the sun and were protected from strong winds, planted in front of a blue coloured block wall. I liked the contrast of colours so I took a few different images.
The botanical name for Marigold is Calendula Officinalis and they are characterized by their pale green leaves and radiant blooms which range in colour from yellow, gold, orange and bronze as well as a few pastel shades.
They originate from Mexico but grow well in most areas of Australia especially as they prefer sunny, fertile, well drained soil.
They make a wonderful display of colour in any garden and both long and dwarf varieties flower for long periods at a time. Marigolds are also popular as cut flowers in bouquets or in vases.
THANK YOU FOR VIEWING. HAVE A GREAT DAY.
